Things are Really Warming Up – Morphe 35W Palette

Morphe Palette

Morphe Brushes has been gaining more and more attention these days on social media.  One of their most popular palettes, 35O, has been selling out non-stop since it’s release.  I have been looking forward to snagging a palette since I saw them get such great reviews all over the web. Luckily, I was able to snag the Morphe 35W palette on Hautelook for $15 USD.

At first, I was a little off-put by the outer casing of the palette. It is really flimsy and thin – similar to the Coastal Scents 88 palettes. The Coastal Scents 88 shimmer and original palettes were both very popular for a while – so naturally I bought one and have it for comparison reasons.  I never reach for the Coastal Scents palette due to its lower pigmentation and smaller shadow pans but it is great for the price and a perfect gift for someone just getting into makeup. On second comparison, the Coastal Scents casing is actually much sturdier than the Morphe casing. Both palettes contain the exact same ingredients and are both made in China but, luckily, that is all the appear to have in common.

These shadows are 2-3 times bigger than the pans in the Coastal Scents palette. Be careful though, because they can pop out fairly easily. This is great if you want to depot these into a Z-Palette, but if not, a little glue can secure them back in place.  2 of mine popped out of place so the top row many appear in a different order than on the Morphe Brushes site. These shades are very soft and highly pigmented. The shimmer shades in the palette are worth the price alone.  It’s always a gamble buying a palette with this many shades but so far I’m finding them all very pigmented and easily blendable. 35W palette

I chose this palette over the other ones because I was really attracted to the bronze shades and I love a good variety of purples.  I know I probably won’t be using very many shades from the top row but the fourth row is my favorite of this palette! If you’re in the market for a new palette with warm orange, bronze, purple, and brown shades I recommend this one because of its huge variety.

I recently picked up the 350 palette, and it is so amazing! For as low of a price the palette is, the shadows have great pigmentation! I definitely want to pick up another, there is one that has more than have all purple shades, and it looks amazing!

I’ve been eyeing the 35O palette for a while. I decided to pick up the 35W to test the waters and now I want to get them all! The new 35O all matte and all shimmer palettes will probably be added to my Morphe wishlist soon.
