I’ve been on an indie cosmetics buying spree lately! These are two highlighters are from Bitter Lace Beauty on Etsy. I ran across these highlighters on Instagram after seeing swatches of these beautifully pressed pigments. I’m so excited to share my new find with you all.
The packaging is beautiful. These little sachets contain the pans wrapped with a card that has the ingredients listed and instructions on how to use it. LOOK AT HOW CUTE THE PRESSED DESIGN IS! I wish my pressed pigments turned out this beautiful.
These two shades were picked based off of how beautiful they appeared in the swatches and the current preference I have for highlighting my face. The left hand shade is called Enchanted and is described as a “white iridescent rainbow highlight” and the right hand shade is Gleam & Glow and is described as a “rose gold highlight”.
The tin pans measure about 44mm and fit within any magnetic palette. I have a magnetic palette ordered from AnotherSoul on Esty and these two fit in nicely side by side together. At first, they seemed a little too tall the close the palette completely but once I pushed it close firmly, it seemed to fit better.
It came a bit cracked from shipping although it was packaged very well within the bubble wrap. Sometimes these things can’t be avoided but perhaps if it were packaged within a tiny box as well it would’ve been a little better protected The rest is perfectly in tact and the powder pieces are still usable.
The Enchanted highlighter may seem a bit too pale for my skin tone, but I use MAC Lightscapade for a “fresh faced glow” and I find this shade in the same family as that only a bit more pigmented.
Still obsessing over this pressed pattern. The rose gold highlight shines beautifully and I can see myself wearing it even with “no-makeup makeup” looks. It pulls a little less rose gold on my skin tone and more of a soft bronze but it is still very beautiful.
So reflective without being a glitter bomb. Very shimmery and soft without being chalky in texture.
Light arm swatches not fully blended out. I’m looking forward to doing looks with these highlighters. I’m still searching for the perfect highlight as well as indie brand to try out. Let me know your suggestions!
These are so pigmented! I’m interested in seeing a full look tutorial with these! They look amazing as swatches so far!
