Fun AND flattering? Color me “pleasantly surprised!”
I’ve had a love/hate relationship with Forever 21 in the past. The clothes are inexpensive and trendy but I could never find anything that fit me the way I wanted it to fit. Lately, Forever 21 has really stepped it up in terms of extended sized clothing that plus size girls ACTUALLY want to wear with their Forever 21 Plus line.
For reference, I normally wear around a 14 in pants and an XL/1X in tops because I like my clothes a bit more flowy and forgiving. I do find myself reaching more for 2x/3x in the Forever 21 Plus range overall. I would say you can safely size up one size from your normal size to get the clothing to fit more like it does on the models.
The selection of cute and trendy clothes is pretty broad in the Forever 21 Plus line. Everything from bodysuits, jean jackets, off-the-shoulder tops, and even crop tops! They have a lot of interesting clothing pieces that flatter a curvier frame. One of my favorite pieces is the ribbed sweater dress! It hugs every curve and adds a bit of interest with the lace up sides without showing too much skin or being too revealing.
Pricing is pretty inline with the rest of the clothing at Forever 21. The more luxe items cost a bit more (better fabric and more unique/trendy design) but the range in overall is price-aligned with the straight-sized clothing from Forever 21. You can expect pieces to range from $9.90 to about $48, with basics being at the lower end and sets/detailed pieces at the higher end.
I have found a great selection of cute trendy clothes that I can add to my current collection. I love their little black dress selection, the bodysuits are great closet staples and I have finally found a high-waisted jean skirt that looks on-trend but flattering. Take a peek around your Forever 21 and track down the plus size selection! Be sure to click the pictures in this post to take you directly to the items at Forever 21.
